Delilah Iris

Delilah Iris is a self taught Fiber and Felt artist with an extensive background in media, content creation, graphic design and print. Originally from Boston, she draws inspiration from her childhood, her rural surroundings in Central Maine, and her two children.

As you may have already noticed, woodland and fantasy creatures are something I am very, very inspired by. I do pretty much live in the woods, after all. This Spring I was hard at work creating little woodland creatures and play things…   Toadstool Mushroom Dollhouses Oh how I love toadstools! Mushrooms and fairy toadstool circles. Eeep! I designed a little mushroom dolly house to go along with my 4 inch pocket dolls. The pocket pixies are just perfect with these houses!   And I decided to get creative and make a house fit to for a true fairy garden. I embroidered little rosettes and flowers along the walls and as a wreath around the door. I think it came out so pretty! You can purchase the pattern for the houses here on my website or even buy the completed houses from my Etsy Shop.

Sew Your Own Tiny Doll House These adorable felt doll houses stand at only 5.5″ inches tall. The perfect size to fit a DelilahIris mini pocket sized doll! These lil’ felt houses are made completely out of felt and have a front door that opens and shuts, held closed with a little button clasp. These are really easy to make and so fun to get creative with. How can you add creative detail to your tiny house? You can start adding custom creative detail to your tiny house by hand embroidering the home. Add some decorative accents to the outer walls and door. Sew in shingles to the roof or add some flowers to the walls. Add some lace or rick rack trim to the roof or anywhere you see fit. Use bright and beautiful buttons for the door. Switch things up with creative felt colors. And best yet –
